You probably came here because either a) you’re my mom and want to make sure I’m still alive, or b) you wanted to find out more about what I do and see if I’m any good at it.
If a, then hi Mom. Still alive up here. I haven’t been sitting too close to the TV but did run with scissors last night. Sorry. And yes, it’s OK for you and Dad to come over.
If b, well…that’s where things get weird for me. I don’t like talking about myself. At all. I’m my least favorite subject. But this site is where I have to strike a balance between sharing too little (“I’ve done things in places with people. The End.”) and going into full-on egomaniac mode (“I’m God Emperor of the Universe!! Love me, puny mortals! HIRE ME!”), all the while hoping for the chance to work with you one day.
Let’s start here: I’ve worked for banks and credit unions since 1986. In 1998, Jenny Budreau at FORUM Credit Union hired me to create both their corporate university and training department from scratch, and a wonderful new chapter of my career began. My FORUM days ended on a high and happy note in 2012 as their Vice President of Organizational Development, when I stepped out on my own to start NO NET Solutions.
Since then, I’ve spoken at nearly 100 conferences and events, many of which have ended in standing ovations. Folks have said some really nice things about me, and I’m grateful for these career milestones and the results I’ve helped earn for my clients. Want my full bio? Here you go.
I write for a few national websites regularly and have been written about in a few as well. My first book, The Night the Dog Exploded: Lessons from an Awkward Life (inspired by this piece I wrote in 2013), will be released in fall of 2015.
I also do a fair bit of professional photography and videography. I have a passion to tell stories of everyday heroes and capture the moments that make life worth living – including this one that was featured by National Geographic.
OK, that’s quite enough about me. Pop over here to tell me more about how you want to make the world a better place. I’d like to help you out. We’ll even run with scissors.
Just don’t tell my mom, ok?
several conferences over the past two years and he consistently is one of most highly-rated speakers. You won’t be disappointed!”
